After The Storm...

After the Storm

Yesterday afternoon, I drifted into sleep,
Until a fierce gust of wind pulled me awake.

I rose and looked outside, A wild storm had claimed the sky,
Turning it dark as forgotten ink.

The rain arrived in sheets, Heavy and relentless.
I sat beneath its voice,

While cold drops found my forehead
Like hurried messages from the clouds. For fifteen minutes,

The world belonged to wind and water.
Then, suddenly, silence.
As if the storm had never been there.
Yet above me, the sky kept changing
Black to blue,  Blue to yellow, Yellow to gold, Gold to orange.
And slowly, almost shyly,

Evening stepped across the horizon.

I remained there, Saying nothing, Doing nothing,

Just watching the day transform itself
From chaos into calm,
From darkness into light.
And for a moment,
I felt as though the sky was telling a story
Only silence could understand.
